CHOOSE TO WALK BY FAITH NOT BY SIGHT.

"To walk by faith is to fear God more than man; to obey the Bible even when it conflicts with man’s commands; to choose righteousness over sin, no matter  the cost; to trust God in every circumstance; and to believe God rewards those who seek Him, regardless of who says otherwise (Hebrews 11:6)." ~Commentary by Richard Pratt
The Bible challenges us to walk by Faith not by Sight as seen in 2 Corinthians 5:7
Am sure you've heard this scripture so many times,  it's probably becoming a cliché. But can I tell you something about clichés? They are always true,  well let's say 99% true.
Perhaps you're wondering how walking by faith and not by sight, is possible.
How can you walk without seeing where you are actually going ?
How will you know if there's a  ditch ahead?
Without seeing,  can you actually stay on the path ?
What if you happen to veer off at one point?
It sounds tough, right?
Right. Humanly. Speaking.
But. Not. With. God.
I remember sometime back we had a #Chilles_Chillout courtesy of https://www.instagram.com/generation.sarah_alive/ (we really had fun.)
At one point we covered our eyes with bandanas(if you're a born 80/90 ,you can probably remember how cool it was to own one, back then. I know this makes most of us nostalgic. Not sure if they're easily found nowadays.)
So after covering our eyes we made a straight line and we had to navigate through the terrain of the place. The person at the very back would control our movement by tapping the person in front of her. The same would be passed on till the first person on the line got the message.
PS : The lady at the back didn't cover up her face.
If you were tapped on the right shoulder , it meant we were to change direction to the right, same applied if tapped on the left shoulder.
There are times we all got the message clear, other times there was a mix up and we had to stop and confirm which cue was given first. I remember that there's a time we almost got into a ditch, but the lady at the end called out and asked us to stop. We all did.
And by the way, we kept laughing all through. Though we couldn't see what was ahead,  we generally felt safe. Personally I felt more secure (maybe coz I was right at the middle  It's like how most of us like the middle seats while using a PSV, for fear of the unknown. You know, we want to be safe in case anything happens. Which shouldn't be the case.  How about we strongly believe  that God will protect us and those we're traveling with?? Then where we seat will really never be an issue as such.)
Back to my story, I trusted that the lady behind me would pass on the right cue and I'd be keen enough to pass on that same.
At the end of the exercise, we sat down, shared our lessons . It was interesting how most of us were tempted to cheat ( you know,  trying to adjust the bandana so that we could have a view of where we were standing, what was ahead, if we were indeed at a safe position). Even with that temptation, a good number of us somehow overcame and decided to trust the process.
This translates to our walk with God. God knows what lies ahead, He fully understands the terrain of where He's taking you.  As long as He has you, you need not to worry about what lies ahead of you.
You could be stressed out about getting a job,  you've written 1001 CVs, knocked on doors attended almost 100 interviews, prayed to God, but there's no job for you yet. You began to think that people hate you or you not good enough, you don't measure up.  But I'll tell you this,  keep walking in Faith.  One day it's gonna pay.
You maybe broken. Your family is torn apart. Dysfunctional . No one is talking to the other. Family love , fatherly/motherly  affection is a vocabulary in that home. In fact,  it's become more of a resting place,  where after a long day, everyone comes, locks themselves in the bedroom till the next day. In the morning, everyone is in a hurry to leave.  You never have time for each other.  Your heart is burdened with the turn of events.  You know things should be a little different from what they are.  You've prayed, sought counsel yet you can't see any changes..  But I'll tell you this, don't stop. It may take days,  weeks, even years.  However long it takes. Keep walking in Faith one day it's gonna pay.
You're married, you've been trusting God for the fruit of the womb. Year after another you've been purposely trying to bring into existence a mini-you, your bambino (Haye!! See the effect of the Mexican soap operas!! In my teen years, we'd be best friends if you volunteered to explain to me an episode that I had missed from my favourite soap opera.) Miscarriage is what you've known for all this long.  Your gyna has requested for all possible tests to be done. The results come out negative. Or maybe there are cysts noticed. You've undergone the required medical procedures. You're given the go ahead but still, nothing seems to be changing.
Sarah had Isaac when she was a granny, literally. Hannah waited for long before she held the precious baby Samuel in her hands. We know the stories of the women in the Bible who walked in Faith and God opened their wombs. They believed in God's promises. No matter how long it took, the fact is that God fulfilled His promises to them. It probably is a painful process for you,  but I'll tell you this, Keep walking in Faith. One day it's gonna pay.
The above are just but a few among many other areas of struggle. Areas where our Faith in God is tested, tried, taken through the fire. "Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance. "James 1:2‭-‬3
The temptation to peep translates to the temptation to listen to what everyone else is saying, your own fears, guilt and shame.. ,oh and even pride..that are trying to convince you of how undeserving you are, of how impossible it is to trust in God.
Choose to overcome the temptation to give into the pressure you may be feeling,  the thought that you're not fully equipped to handle the situations in your life.
Like the lady who was behind and who we trusted to help us navigate the terrain, God is more than willing to help you and me navigate through.
Faith is remaining hopeful for what is unseen. Keep pushing forward. Pray unceasingly. Keep a positive and winning attitude. If God is in it, then all things will be new.
PS : If you keep listening to everyone else but God,  this one is for you , I know it's Sheng-ish so some people may not understand (y'all who went to group of schools  , just kidding though.)
So here we go :
One,  Two, Three, (Hands in the air,  actually it's vidole)
  
...Ako na form, form ye ndio ako na form, hapana skiza watu, hizo ni kilele za chura *3
Zama ndani ya Yesu hapana weka nose nje ...
